From Chicago, born and raised on the south side (White Sox). I was introduced to photography in my young twenties by a lifelong friend. I purchased a 35mm SLR, a 50mm lens, a 135mm lens, along with several rolls of black-and-white film.

After a while, I lost interest because film processing was so expensive and conflicted with my growing music career. Not to mention, I lost the camera.

Now, I have retired from the corporate environment, and needed a hobby. I chose to purchase a digital camera, a couple of lenses, and SD cards. It is still expensive, not so much in cost but in time. I have the time today.

I’m retired from the corporate world. It’s not my problem anymore. (from Rene Geyser, 2026)
